Heart, Mind, and Soul

We were pulled from each other

ripped apart

you hidden from my sight

and I was cast into the darkness

blind I became

filled with rage and despair

yet in that abyss

I found the light

deep inside my soul

it felt like a calm tide in the afternoon

that was set in motion after a horrid storm

it did the impossible

healing my wounds

reverting my scars

every piece of me scattered throughout

time and space

reformed into who I was supposed to be

and at that moment

I could see your smile

I saw the stars

and the vast chasm that was space

in due time

I would make my way back to you

where the hearts confided in each other

and the minds relaxed in peace

that moment

that place

where our souls

melded

and intertwined into

who we are for each other.
